Brownsville plans downtown water, wastewater upgrades

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Public Utilities Board, with the help of the City of Brownsville, will be undertaking critical water and wastewater infrastructure improvements to the downtown area.

The upgrades will take place in the Downtown Brownsville area, which will help enhance the system's reliability and help support the community in the long term.

The following list is the affected areas where traffic will be reduced to one lane:

• 10th Street from Washington Street to Elizabeth Street.
• 11th Street from Adams Street to Washington Street.
• 12th Street from Jefferson Street to Adams Street and from Elizabeth Street to Levee Street.
