Brownsville man arrested for online threat against police officers

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The U.S Marshals arrested a Brownsville man for posting terroristic threats online, according to the Brownsville Police Department.

Steven Heriberto Salgado Jimenez, 23, is now in custody with three counts of terroristic threat against a peace officer.

On Friday, Jimenez posted threats of violence on his social media directed at three Brownsville Police officers that have visited his residence as part of an ongoing investigation, Brownsville PD released on a Facebook post.

"The Brownsville Police Department takes all threats against our officers seriously. We do not tolerate this type of behavior and will continue to ensure the safety of our officers and the public." Brownsville PD stated.
