Brownsville Fire Department battles fire on Saenz, Southmost Road

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Fire Department is working an active fire scene on the city's south side.

From photos posted on social media by the department, it appears a number of junked cars have been consumed by the blaze.

Currently, the fire department is not reporting any injuries or fatalities from the fire located at George Saenz Road and Southmost Road, which is not far from the Sabal Palm Sanctuary.
