Bridge in Willacy County closed due to erosion

WILLACY COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation has closed a bridge in Willacy County until further notice.

The bridge on FM 498 near Willamar will be closed due to severe erosion caused by recent rain.

TxDOT asks drivers to take alternate routes.
