BPD: Man arrested for multiple active warrants

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police arrested a man, who had multiple active warrants.

Efrain Eusebio Barrientos, 37, was charged with two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, evading arrest and reckless driving, according to a release from the Brownsville Police Department.

McAllen police officer arrested in Dallas

On Monday, Brownsville police, with the assistance of the United States Marshals Fugitive Tasks Force, arrested Barrientos.

Barrientos also had active warrants from the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office for evading arrests and smuggling of persons, the release stated.

Brownsville PD search for suspect in motor thefts

Barrientos was arraigned on Tuesday at the Brownsville City Jail and was issued a $227,500 bond for the Brownsville Police Department charges.
