BOBA-TASTIC: Boba Bomb power level 'over 9,000' earns top performer sticker

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Fun fact: The Food Patrol loves anime because it's colorful, immersive and has a power level of over 9,000!

Boba Bomb, located inside Anime Boom at 4619 North 10th St in McAllen, is the best of both worlds. Fun stuff in the front and deliciousness in the back.

Its Feb. 9 inspection report is a perfect score, making it this week's Top Performer.

Not only is the boba top-notch, but the service is too!

"As a girl and as a youngster there wasn't many spaces where I felt safe or welcomed," said Boba Bomb's manager. "So, I want to make that for other people."

That's que rico! Now it's que asco time!

The Winecow Argentina Steak House located at 4900 W. Expy 83 #380A in McAllen is struck with numerous violations.

They didn’t do so hot on their Feb. 1 inspection, so the Food Patrol returned a couple of weeks later to see if they’d cleaned up.

There were more issues with this visit than the last one.

Discovered were avocados so hard you could hammer a nail with them and expired meat in their refrigerator.

They welcomed the Food Patrol back any other time, promising they would have the place cleaned up.

However, they might be unable to keep their word due to being understaffed.
