BMW of Pharr presents $25,000 check to support annual Avocado Festival

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The BMW of Pharr presented the Greater Pharr Chamber of Commerce with a check for $25,000 for the 2025 Avocado Festival on Wednesday.

The city announced that BMW of Pharr has joined as the presenting sponsor for the annual festival.

"We're here celebrating the Bert Ogden, BMW family, thanking Robert and Janet Vacker for their gracious sponsorship of our Avocado Fest. We're so proud to have them, and they're always willing to give back," said Pharr City Manager Jonathan Flores.

The annual Avocado Festival is expected to take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, in downtown Pharr.

This year's event is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the Rio Grande Valley.
