HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — In this week’s Food 4 Thought, a burger spot that is full of flavors is earning a Top Performer Sticker.

This one is ¡que Rico!

The Food Patrol surprised the team at Raices by Frankie Flav’s, located at 115 E. Harrison Ave. in Harlingen.

They are keeping it 100 on their May 27 inspection report, making them this week’s Top performer!

“It feels great, it feels awesome!" said Eddy Lopez, manager of Raices by Frankie Falv'z.

Lopez has been in the restaurant business for a long time, and today is a proud day for him. He was teaching a new employee about recipes, food safety, and cleanliness when the Food Patrol arrived.

Raices is known for its smash burgers and its generosity because kids aged 12 and under eat free with an adult entrée when dining.
