Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run, Brownsville PD seek suspect

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a 40-year-old bicyclist.

At approximately 12:32 p.m., authorities responded to the intersection of International Boulevard and E. Polk Street regarding an auto-pedestrian crash, according to a news release from Brownsville PD.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a man riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle, the driver failed to render aid and left the scene, the release stated.

Brownsville police say there is no available information on the suspected vehicle.
