Arrest warrant issued for McAllen man accused in family violence case

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a McAllen man accused of family violence, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 29-year-old Osiel Hernandez, who is accused in multiple assaults of a family member within a 12-month period. Police say the alleged assaults resulted in bodily injury. 

The offenses were reported to police on Sunday from a home on the 4100 block of Galveston Ave.

A McAllen Municipal Court determined probable cause was established to issue an arrest warrant for Hernandez on the charge of continuous violence against the family, a third-degree felony. 

Osiel Hernandez is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in McAllen.
