SEBASTIAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Willacy County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted on charges of aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.
Presley Gene Vela, 20, is wanted for a shooting that took place early Saturday morning on the outskirts of Sebastian.
Authorities say Vela is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Dispatch received a call on the shooting at approximately 4:45 a.m.
During the call, the caller advised that a man had sustained gunshot wounds.

First responders arrived at the scene and immediately transported the victim to a local hospital.
WCSO investigators were dispatched to the scene and the hospital moments later to process and collect evidence, as well as speak to the victim.
Vela was later identified as the shooting suspect. Authorities say Vela left the crime scene before deputies arrived.
