Annual 'Hiring Red, White, & You' job fair in Harlingen focuses on veterans

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The "Hiring Red, White, & You" job fair employment event is set to take place on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Organized by Workforce Solutions Cameron and the Texas Workforce Commission, the job fair is particularly focused on supporting veterans, offering them early access and a free breakfast at 8 a.m. before the general public is admitted.

Now in its 14th year, the event is expected to draw a large crowd, building on last year's attendance of over 1,400 people. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes, dress to impress, and be prepared for the possibility of on-the-spot interviews.

Workforce Solutions Cameron emphasized the importance of the event for veterans, noting that it was created with them in mind and continues to prioritize their needs.

The job fair is open to the general public, and admission is free of charge. Participants are advised to pre-register through the Workforce Solutions Cameron Facebook page to streamline their entry into the event.
