BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville ISD held its 10th annual Autism Conference on Friday to bring awareness to parents, family members, and friends about autism.
The goal of today's conference was to help identify and provide resources for those with autistic children.
"We certainly have the best and most qualified Special Education teachers in our district. We have our behavioral specialists, our school social worker, and our family center behavioral specialist, who work with our students and parents in making sure that we work together so that our children can be successful," said Adriana Lippa, Special Education Director for BISD.
