Amber Alert suspect charged with providing alcohol, marijuana to minor

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A new development in the now-resolved Amber Alert out of Harlingen shows that a man connected with the case was charged with providing alcohol and marijuana to a minor.

Police say 16-year-old Madison Luna was last seen with 59-year-old Jesse Saldaña when she went missing Tuesday night at the 1500 block of Sam Houston Drive in Harlingen.

Luna was safely recovered Wednesday morning and transported to the Darrell B. Hester Juvenile Justice Center as a reported runaway.

Saldaña is in custody on three charges of purchasing alcohol for a minor and three charges of delivery of a controlled substance or marijuana to a child, with a total bond of $240,000.

He is not facing abduction charges at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
