Alamo woman, 19, dies in Edinburg rollover crash

A 19-year-old Alamo woman died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Edinburg.

In a news release, Edinburg police said the crash happened at approximately 1:19 a.m. near the intersection of Owassa Road and southbound I-69 Frontage Road.

Responding officers found a white 2009 GMC Yukon that had rolled over multiple times.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were ejected, according to the news release.

The driver has been identified as Diedra Lynch Arroyo. Arroyo was transported to the hospital where she died. The passenger, Tatiana Giselle Garcia, 19, of Alamo, sustained minor injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash
