Alamo PD: Man faces arson charge for setting medical cart on fire at ER facility

ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man is in custody after he reportedly set a medical cart on fire inside an emergency room facility, according to the Alamo Police Department.

Deven Martinez, 21, faces one charge of arson for allegedly setting the medical cart on fire. He also faces one charge of resisting arrest.

Police responded to the facility at 7 a.m. Sunday on the 140 block of E. Frontage Road in Alamo.

According to Lt. Eduardo Garza with Alamo PD, Martinez left the scene and headed eastbound towards Val Verde Road.

He was soon apprehended at the 100 block of E. Frontage Road.

Martinez is scheduled to be arraigned at 3 p.m., Monday, at the Alamo Municipal Court.
