AEM to host its first ever Binational Economic Forum in San Antonio next month

MCALLEN, Texas – Francisco J. Peña-Valdés has announced the first Binational Economic Forum to be hosted by the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos.

Peña-Valdés said the event will take place on June 5, 6 and 7 in San Antonio.

“The future belongs to those who dare to build bridges and new pathways for foreign investments,” Peña-Valdés said. The forum is being put together especially for COMCE Sur and COMCE Noreste with the objective of fostering stronger ties, sharing insights, and creating new opportunities for growth on both sides of the border.”

Peña-Valdés is a partner in Cacheaux Cavazos & Newton and chairman of the Greater McAllen Area Chapter of Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM).

The Rio Grande Guardian International News Service caught up with Peña-Valdés at RioPlex’s Texas Port to the Stars Foreign Direct Investment Summit, which was held recently at the Westin Galleria in Houston. Click here to watch the interview.

Peña-Valdés said he would also like to thank the Guardian for providing an “opportunity to engage in such a meaningful conversation about the future of investment and growth in our region.”

He added: “During the interview, we reflected on the rising importance of the Rio Grande Valley as a strategic platform for nearshoring, international trade, and cross-border collaboration between Mexico and the United States. These dialogues are essential as we navigate a new era of regional economic integration under the framework of USMCA.”
