71-year-old man arrested for child indecency at Progreso Bridge

PROGRESO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a man wanted for alleged indecency with a child by sexual contact.

On June 5, CBP officers stationed at the Progreso International Bridge referred 71-year-old Noe Magallen for a secondary inspection, according to a news release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

During the secondary inspection, officers using federal databases and biometric verification had verified Magallen's identity.

They discovered he had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for indecency with a child by sexual assault, issued by the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, the release added.

Magallen was apprehended and turned over to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies for adjudication of the warrant.
