55,000 Valley customers experiencing power outages

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) —  Severe thunderstorms tonight are affecting 55,392 customers from the Rio Grande Valley who are experiencing power outages.

According to American Electric Power Texas, 34,479 customers are reporting power outages in Hidalgo, 15 in Cameron, 28 in Willacy, and 9 in Starr County.

Magic Valley is reporting 20,746 in Hidalgo, one in Cameron, 16 in Willacy, and 300 in Starr County.
