HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The 4EVA RGV 6th annual Toy Drive is set for Saturday, Dec. 21 in Pharr.
The event aims to help 2,000 to 3,000 people and will feature Santa Claus, character appearances such as "Fang" from the RGV Vipers, and various custom cars. Toys are arranged in big boxes, allowing children to choose what they like.
Event organizer Prolifek said, "Honestly deep down, it makes me feel good. It makes me feel proud, because growing up, we couldn't receive what we wanted. So now it's like I'm able to use my platform, use my fan base, to be able to grow and give out to the people. So it feels good, very good."
Prolifek encourages last-minute donations and mentions the event caters to all age groups, from newborns to high schoolers. Despite challenges, the event has grown significantly, relying on community support.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, Dec. 21 starting at 3 p.m. at 216 East I-2 Frontage Road, next to Fernando's restaurant.
