2 vehicle collision left one dead, another injured

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An expressway crash left one person dead and another injured, a spokesperson for the City of Pharr stated.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. Sunday, authorities responded to the 1900 block of West Interstate Highway 2 eastbound lanes regarding a two-vehicle accident.

According to Michael Martinez with the City of Pharr, one man was pronounced dead at the scene and another man was taken to the hospital with injuries.

No additional occupants were in either vehicle. Authorities have not released the identity of the drivers.
