2 suspects arrested in Edinburg following narcotics seizure

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two men have been arrested and are facing multiple drug-related charges after the Edinburg Police Department's Special Investigations Unit recovered street-level narcotics at an operation, according to a PD spokesperson.

An operation was conducted at the 700 block of E. Lovett by the Edinburg PD Special Investigations Unit after receiving information about the sale of narcotics at the residence.

Investigators recovered THC gummies, marijuana, Xanax, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The city spokesperson said officers recovered additional marijuana after a second search warrant was obtained and executed at a secondary location in the 300 block of E. Loeb Street.

The suspects have not been identified.
