2 Border Patrol agents attacked by bees in Brownsville

Brownsville, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two Border Patrol agents were transported to the hospital for medical evaluation after a bee attack in Brownsville Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson from the Brownsville Fire

Department says both agents are OK.

Bees can be aggressive when defending their colony. If stung and experiencing a reaction, seek medical help or call 911.

Reporting bee activity

If you see a swarm or have a nest of Africanized Bees outside a structure, please stay as far away and call (956) 542-3437.

Please contact the local health department or a local exterminator. Do not attempt to exterminate or eradicate on your own.
