1,000 customers without power in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) - More than one thousand Brownsville Public Utility customers are without power Saturday morning.

On a social media post, the utility company said a sparking wire is to blame for the outage affecting 1,031 customers who live in the areas of Wildrose Lane, Barnard, Las Mananitas, Tropical Drive, Old Alice Road, Greenway Drive, Woodruff, Tulane, Loma Linda Avenue and the surrounding areas.

PUB says it has crews working to restore power as soon as possible.
