WILLACY COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A new 5G cell tower has been installed in Raymondville to keep residents connected at a faster network speed.
AT&T has expanded its 5G network to enhance coverage and bring faster connectivity for residents and visitors in Willacy County.
Willacy County officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially celebrate the new cell tower.
"Robust and reliable broadband connections are so important now, but also critical to the future of our city and to our economic growth," Aurelio Guerra, Willacy County Judge said.
Raymondville is one of thousands of cities nationwide that have expanded to a 5G network.
"AT&T’s investment in our community will help our businesses, large and small, sell more goods and reach more audiences, while also helping them work faster and smarter,” Guerra said.
