Wind advisory for lower Valley, gusts up to 45 mph

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A wind advisory has been issued for two lower Valley counties, the National Weather Service announced.

Strong winds are expected in Cameron and Willacy counties starting 10 a.m. Monday until 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service reports southeast winds will range between 25 mph and can gust up to 45 mph.

Items such as lawn furniture, trash cans and trampolines are subject to blowing around, unless fastened and secured.

Drivers are asked to drive with caution across overpasses, bridges and to keep alert of items blowing around.
