DALLAS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Dallas Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice.

A post from the Dallas Police Department states that the warrant includes one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.

A second man, Theodore Knox, is facing the same charges.

At 6:25 p.m. on March 30, Dallas police were called to a multi-vehicle accident in the 6600 block of northbound N. Central Expressway. A preliminary investigation showed that a Corvette and a Lamborghini were speeding in the far left lane, near University Blvd.

According to police, the drivers lost control and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder, hitting the center median wall. This caused a chain reaction involving four other vehicles.

The occupants from both the Lamborghini and the Corvette ran from the scene, according to police.

Two drivers were treated at the scene and two occupants from another vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Rice's attorney said last week that Rice was the driver of one of the two speeding cars.

The news of the arrest warrant comes after Rice's rookie season, where he amassed 938 yards and 7 touchdowns before ultimately winning the Super Bowl with the Chiefs in February.

Police added that the passengers in the vehicles will not be charged.
