EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — High school students from Laredo to Brownsville presented education technology topics to their peers Friday during the 8th Annual Region One Student by Student Conference in Edinburg.

The conference gave a platform for student leaders to share their knowledge, insights, and experiences in leveraging technology to enhance learning and teaching.

Sylvia Escobar the Instructional Technology Coordinator for Region 1 Education Services said one of the goals is to see STEM in action.

"We want them to see technology in action because research shows if students have one significant experience in STEM it just might have them go into a STEM career," Escobar said.

The Region One Student by Student Conference serves as a testament to the leadership and ingenuity of the region's students, highlighting their role as agents of change in the ever-evolving landscape of education technology.
